If you appreciate the arts, then this pastime provides a terrific purpose to learn Spanish. Reading books in their original dialect, watching foreign films and listening to music will be much more enjoyable when you understand the words.
Learn Spanish to be able to figure out the menu at a foreign restaurant. Furthermore, you might need to help other people at your table decipher the menu.
You never know when you might encounter somebody who does not speak English. You might end up sitting next to someone at a sporting event, wedding or even church.
